These Terms govern your use of the Eleventh Hour Fine Wristwatches website and sale services. By submitting a watch for sale, making a purchase, or otherwise using this site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or our services.
Eleventh Hour Fine Wristwatches ("Eleventh Hour", "we", "us") is an independent watch business based in the Western Cape, South Africa. We connect sellers of fine wristwatches with buyers, charging a flat 10% seller fee on completed sales, paid by the seller.
We are not the manufacturer of any watch listed on this site. We don't design, produce, or warrant the watches themselves — that responsibility sits with the original manufacturer. Our role is to authenticate, list, facilitate the sale of, and (for online purchases) collect payment for watches sold on behalf of sellers.
When you submit a watch for sale, our team will review the details and provide a valuation range. If you proceed, your watch will be independently authenticated before being listed. You set the asking price and approve any offer before it's accepted — nothing is sold without your sign-off. Full terms of the seller relationship, including condition assessment, shipping, and settlement timelines, are set out in our separate Seller Agreement, which you'll be asked to review and accept before your watch is listed.
Watches marked "Available" can be purchased directly through the site. Starting checkout reserves the watch and takes you to PayFast to complete payment securely — we don't collect or store your card details ourselves. Once payment is confirmed, the watch is marked sold and we arrange authenticated handover and insured shipping. If you cancel checkout or don't complete payment, the reservation is released automatically.
Payment for online purchases is collected via PayFast into Chrono Space's own merchant account. We hold those funds until the buyer confirms the watch has been received and matches its listing, at which point the seller is paid the sale price less our 10% seller fee. This is an internal process we operate directly — it is not a licensed third-party escrow arrangement.
Every watch sold through Eleventh Hour is inspected by a watchmaker independent of Eleventh Hour before listing. This inspection is a professional assessment, not an absolute guarantee against undetectable defects or history. We encourage buyers to ask questions and request additional documentation before purchasing high-value pieces.
Our seller fee is a flat 10% of the final sale price, paid by the seller and deducted before payout. There are no listing fees, no fees if a watch does not sell, and no fee charged to buyers beyond the listed price.
Because each watch is a unique, individually authenticated item, sales are generally final once payment is confirmed and the watch has been inspected and accepted by the buyer. This doesn't affect any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, including in respect of goods that are materially different from how they were described.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eleventh Hour's liability in connection with any transaction is limited to the sale price of the relevant watch. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
