A considered, multi-brand watch business for buying, selling, and sourcing exceptional watches — built on clear prices, real market context, and careful execution.
Eleventh Hour Fine Wristwatches was founded on a simple premise: the market for pre-owned and vintage watches works better when sellers get the right buyer and collectors get the right watch. That means connecting a seller with the right buyer, sourcing a specific reference when a collector knows exactly what they want, and giving both parties a clear, well-supported way to make a decision.
That premise is backed by Erwee Mare, who founded Eleventh Hour after 20 years in South Africa's luxury watch market — enough time to build both a genuine eye for what a piece is actually worth, and a wide network of collectors and sellers to draw on when a buyer's after something specific. The business is deliberately multi-brand: we sell what is ready to buy and source what collectors are looking for, informed by the broader luxury watch market rather than tied to any one marketplace or manufacturer.
"We don't buy your watch to resell it at a markup. We work for you until it sells, at the price you set."
The model is simple, but the work behind it is structured. A growing Reference Library now holds 83+ fully specified references, while The Grid gives our dealer network a clear, performance-based standard. Independent authentication, escrow-protected payments, and automated inventory systems make the process dependable; the flat 10% seller-paid fee and no-buyer-markup model keep the commercial terms just as clear. No holding-period fees. No listing fees. No fee if it doesn't sell.
Every watch is inspected by a qualified watchmaker independent of Eleventh Hour before it's ever listed, so the same firm never authenticates and sells a piece.
Payment is collected securely via PayFast and held by Eleventh Hour until the buyer confirms the watch matches its listing — only then is the seller paid out, less the 10% fee.
Every shipment is fully insured for its sale value and moves by signature-required courier with tracking shared to both parties.
